Objectives

The Tourism Club is a new addition to our CCAs in 2006. Some of the activities are planned in co-operation with the Singapore Education unit of the Singapore Tourism Board. Other activities promote an awareness of the lesser known aspects of our country such as nature conservation areas, and land use planning in Singapore. Students also get to learn about the tourism and hospitality industries in Singapore, and the tourism and travel industry in general.

Other objectives are:

1. To enhance the experience of visiting students and/or teachers from other countries and to encourage cultural exchange and foster bilateral relationships between the students of the school and the students from overseas school groups, as well as between the school and the overseas schools;
2. To groom a pool of student leaders and staff from the school to host the overseas school groups ("Tourism Ambassadors");
3. To increase the awareness of Singapore as a tourist destination and the importance of the tourism industry to the students of the school;
