The Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) National Cadet Corps (Land) [NCC (Land)] unit has been a Gold Unit, for 2 consecutive years, since 2004. The year 2006 had been a great year for us all in NCC (Land), with our many achievements. We had the honour of being the only unit in Singapore to have 2 cadets simultaneously being awarded the Most Outstanding Cadet award. They are Company Sergeant Major, MSG Ong Szu Yoong and Assistant Company Sergeant Major, MSG Ho Ching Long.

We had also achieved many other outstanding awards in 2006, most notably from the Part C cadets brought back 3 plaques from the Specialists’ course. Our Part B and Part A cadets had also done the unit proud by bagging an award in the National Orienteering Competition and the Part A IMT Shooting Competition.
