Recent Event
Inflation? Chemical pollution? and even taxi-fares. These are just some of the
topics that students from various post-secondary institutions in Singapore
have addressed in their creative videos for the inaugural EDB Economics short
film competition last year. ACS ( Independent) is proud to be hosting the
event once again this year with the theme-- sports and leisure. Each team had
to make a short oral presentation as well as face the judges in a question and
answer session. How do our Singapore students apply economic concepts to this
theme? Come on down on 5th March 2010 (1.30pm to 3.30pm - Centre for
Performing Arts 1) to find out.

In 2009
On the 4th March 2009, the Economics, Business & Management Department organised the inaugural EDB Pre—University Economics Short Film Competition. This event seeks to bring together Pre-universities from local as well as international schools in Singapore to illustrate how economics is seen in various aspects of our daily lives. The school is proud to have the Economic Development Board (EDB) as the main sponsor for the event as well as key partners from Citi-NIE Financial Literacy Hub and Razor TV. |
